The Collections

Welcome to the collections! Here you will find the many animal portraits that I've painted, I'm always creating, so new pieces are joining the collections all time. I create the pieces using mixed media. I begin with pencil, drawing the outline and any key features and details initially. Once I'm happy with this (and it can take some time, as I do this freehand) I move on to the pen work. This is probably the longest phase of the process as this is where I capture most of the detail, tones and form. I use a mixture of pens but mainly fine liners in a range of nib sizes. I love colour and add this in the form of watercolour, pencils and pastels. I feel the colour gives them character and brings them to life.

 

Many of the designs can be purchased as prints, greeting cards, notebooks, water bottles and gift wrapping etc in the shop.
